Newmi

How Newmi works

Newmi does not write the news. It organizes what publishers have reported, so you can find a story once and read it from every side.

  1. Collect

Newmi reads publishers’ public feeds and pages through the day, in Greek and English. Each story keeps the publisher’s name, its time and a link to the original.

  2. Group into events

Reports about the same event are grouped, whether the headline is in Greek or English. Newmi is deliberately cautious: it prefers to leave two reports apart than to join two different stories. A group shows its lead report and how many different sources reported it.

  3. Rank your edition

Today orders events by how important they are across publishers, then by what you follow and by what you have read. Stories you have already read move down, and the edition is varied across topics and publishers. Latest skips the ranking and is newest first. Following shows only what matches your choices.

  4. Keep it steady

An edition is fixed when you open it: the order and the paging do not change while you read. New stories wait behind a button, and your last edition is saved so you can reopen it offline.

  5. Read the original

Opening a report takes you to the publisher’s page. The reader blocks a curated list of ad and tracker hosts. That is a limited list, not a promise that every ad is gone.

What to keep in mind

Why you see a story

Each story has a menu with the reason it appeared, plus More like this, Less like this and Hide, all with Undo. Hiding a publisher removes it everywhere.
